Satark Nagrik Foundation welcomes Maharashtra Cabinet decision to abolish NA Tax - Years of follow up has given result says Dayanand Nene  Maharashtra's cabinet has abolished the non-agricultural tax, easing burdens on housing societies and reducing multiple taxation amid urban growth. Welcoming the move, Dayanand Nene, President of NGO Satark Nagrik Foundation said, “Housing societies will benefit for this. They have simplified the procedure. When a property is developed, it is converted from agricultural to non-agricultural land and taxes are paid. It is not proper to charge tax again.’’ Nene informs that he and his NGO have been trying to get the British time, now outdated NA Tax abolished for many years now.
