 Those with mild symptoms will be quarantined within the Society's Covid Care Centre.

This Decision is of Thane Municipal Commissioner Mr  Vijay Singhal.

Patients with mild symptoms of Corona Covid 19 and no discomfort no longer need to go to the Municipal Quarantine Center. 

       Given the growing number of corona-infected patients, the municipality has taken another important step in terms of providing relief to patients who have mild symptoms.  If a corona infected patient is found in a housing society and they have mild symptoms, the club house or multipurpose hall in the housing society has now been declared as a Covid care center for such patients, said Municipal Commissioner Vijay Singhal.  According to the order, a copy of the order should be reserved for the club house and multipurpose hall within the next three days.

      There are orders from the state government to set up a three-tier medical establishment to prevent the spread of the corona virus.  Accordingly, Municipal Commissioner Vijay Singhal has taken this decision and this decision will benefit the needy patients who really need to be admitted to the hospital.  This step has been taken to make the hospitals available.  Accordingly, the club house or multipurpose hall in the society has now been declared as a Covid care center, explained Commissioner Vijay Singhal. 

 Accordingly, within the next three days from the receipt of this circular, the Chairman or Secretary of the Housing Society will register the Covid Care Center by mailing us  on the coronacelltmc@gmail.com of the Municipal Corporation.

      According to the decision, members from outside the society will not be allowed to bring their relatives from outside the society to the quarantine center of the society. 

If there is a demand for more members than the capacity in the society's quarantine center, it will be the rule to quarantine the first member.  Tea, water, snacks, meals, etc. will be provided to the segregated members in this center by their families, safety kits (masks) should be used if necessary, family members should keep food at a certain distance from the quarantine center and the quarantined member should take these things from there by himself. 

It will be mandatory to use non-reusable materials while feeding the patient, the cleaning of the concerned quarantine center has to be done by the patients themselves or such cleaning can be done by a trained staff wearing PPE kit.

      The waste from the quarantine center will be binding on the bio-medical waste, the doctors residing in the concerned society will take care of such patients, however, if there are no doctors residing in the society, the society will be bound to procure medical officers from the municipality.  It will be the responsibility of the concerned patient or his family or the society to pay the honorarium of the doctors appointed to look after the patients who have been quarantined in the society.  It will be mandatory for the concerned society to keep jumbo oxygen cylinder and oxygen supply mask in the concerned club house, technical assistance is available from the Doctors available in the society to get the jumbo oxygen cylinder.  Or if it is not available and if technical assistance is required, it will be provided by Thane Municipal Corporation.

      It has also been clarified on behalf of NMC that all these terms and conditions are acceptable and a letter of written consent for starting Covid Care Center should be submitted to the Thane Municipal Corporation by the Chairman or Secretary of the concerned housing society within 3 days from the date of receipt of the circular.
